WAGS 2026 06 03: Conspiracy Theories and Bagpipes

  I was never much taken with conspiracy theories myself, although I had noticed that, on a suspicious number of occasions over the past two years, whenever a WAGS member needed medical attention here in the Algarve, their appointments always fell on a Wednesday. But then recently, I needed to make an appointment myself for some entirely routine stuff connected with a big toe. "Oh yes, we can give you an early appointment. How would 3rd June at 10 am suit you?" "But that´s a Wednesday. Can´t you give me Tuesday or Thursday, please?" "Oh no. She only comes down from Lisboa on Wednesdays." Now, I am not so sceptical. And so it was that WAGS Quorum - I believe that three will just suffice -met at Bensafrim and ran into difficulties with the Starter photograph. WAGs 2026 05 06: Whatafall or On A Hiding For Nothing At Cotifo

  The Leader´s Report A modest gathering of John & Hazel, Maria, Myriam and Rod convened at the café next door to the Fogo de Lenha restaurant in Odeáxere. before squeezing into Rod's capacious Duster for an unknown destination.  In the event we stopped just short of the dirt-road Bensafrim River crossing heading from Colinas Verdes towards Bensafrim. The plan was to wander up the river valley as far as desired or deemed able with a possibility of a loop back over the hills.
