WAGS 04.01.2023:Mixing It With The AWWs.
Only a skeleton of a WAGS blog this week because most of the work has already been done on and published the AWW blog site. This is because the AWW´ s leader of the day, Jim Lamont, had made it a condition of us WAGS joining his AWW walk that I should do their blog for him. So if you want to see most of the story go to....
As far as us WAGS are concerned these are the remaining matters of record.
The WAGS Starters were: Ingrid, Hazel, Hilke, Geraldine, JohnH, Maria and Yves.
Let the pictures speak for themselves
WAGS Track and Statistics:-
We lunched at Café Norinha were the food was up to its usual high standard. We had hoped that Terry and Claire would be able to join us but he was a bit under the weather. However, Rod dropped in for his customary coffee and chat.
It was good fun catching up with AWWs again although, to be honest, it was hard to keep up with them and, if you look at their statistics, they must have moved at one heck of a speed after we parted from them. And their total ascent of 444 metres in a distance of under 15 kms is quite something.
We usually close with something musical but, for a change, I thought we could close with something satirical by a character called John Bird who died recently. I hadn´t seen much of him. Wish I had seen more. He is the one on the left of your picture.
