WAGS 2025 01 22: A Bit of a Damp Squib

It´s not often that the WAGS cancel their walks. In fact we an´t find when we last did so, but this was one of those occasions. Here is the Leader Antje´s explanation.

After the severe weather warning for last Wednesday by   the Portuguese Weather Institute, I shelved the idea of going to Carrapateira and suggested a walk in Lagos instead, to be confirmed early in the morning of Wednesday. But the forecasts then were bad and the  sky was heavy with clouds, so I cancelled.
Then. of course, all the forecasts turned out to be wrong wrong. We did have some rain but not heavy. ☹️
Nobody was keen to drive over just for lunch so only Myriam, Chris and Antje lunched at Momo. Express. Paul had needed to eat before one o´clock.

The food looked very appetising when it arrived but both Chris and I found it quite bland and the different steamed or fried buns did not differ much in flavour.

The service was friendly and the price very reasonable for Lagos.

A sign of things to come ? The WAGS Lunch Club - the WAGGLERS?
